Antique Austrian walking stick / cane
A ca 1900 cane with an exquisite silver knob
With original metal tip. Straight shaft of ebonized bamboo wood
The handle is hallmarked: Vienna /Austria used 1872 - 1922
This kind of canes were used as a fashion accessory – not as an aide.
They were used to dispay a sense of gentility and social propriety.
Cane measures 35 inches high
